Journal One Chapter One
1. What are some areas in your life that biology has affected?
2. What are some major branches within the biology field that you are familiar with. Example…evolution
3. What are some important characteristics you think a scientist must have?
4. What are some characteristics you think something must have in order to be classified as living.

Example 1
A researcher wanted to study the effects of sleep deprivation on physical coordination. The researcher selected 25 year-old male college students and deprived some of the subjects to either 24, 36, or 45 hours of sleep.
